Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped basil, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, and sun-dried tomatoes
Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste
Mix until well combined
Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness
While the burgers are cooking, prepare the sun-dried tomato mayonnaise
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and a pinch of chopped basil
Once the burgers are cooked, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned
To assemble the burgers, spread the sun-dried tomato mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun
Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by a burger patty, and tomato slices
Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot
